Hello all,

When you join the Academy you will be placed into a dorm. To be placed into a dorm, either sign up for this forum (please note you cannot post in this forum unless you have registered) or be referred to a tester on Duel Network.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR NAME ON THIS SITE IS THE SAME AS YOUR NAME ON DUEL NETWORK
(If you have trouble with your authorization code and it won't let you pick the same user name, simply go to your inbox, there will be a confirmation email that will allow you to get around the system)

Here are the rules for deck selection
-No exodia or special winning condition decks
-Do not use a netdeck
-(For now, in this Meta) No lightsworn, darkworld, 6sam or Inzector decks (you may have up to 7 cards in your deck and extra deck of these archetypes without it being considered on the ban list)

The test is simple, play a 2/3 match with your tester.

Test results are determined by victories, 2 wins will place you into Cursed Pride, 1 win will place you in Pulsating Sword, 0 wins will place you in Infected Duelists

If you lose 2 games even though your tester has one the match you may play a third game for a chance to get into Pulsating Sword.

Once you have been sorted into your dorm make a new topic in your dorm and introduce yourself. Posting on Introductions/Farewells board will not be enough. if you do not post in your Dorm you will be considered inactive and miss out on tournaments so do it ASAP.

Rules for Testers
-If you make a mistake and played one card ahead from your mistake, you must play on. (so If you synchro summon with the wrong materials and play a facedown you may not reset to the right materials unless it is illegal)
-You may not remind your opponent that they forgot something that will give them an advantage, part of the test is seeing if they can remember.
-If both you and your student do not notice a misplay (Something illegal that completely changes the game, like equipping 2 monsters to Thousand Eyes Restrict) and 2 turns have passed, you must restart the test.
-A Tester may elect to change decks mid test or hand there student off to another online tester.

Rules for Students
-If you make a mistake you must say so by the ep of your turn. You will be allowed a replay. If you have ended your turn AND your opponent has stated their turn (ie. played a card) you may not replay.
-Quiting mid game counts as a loss unless your tester says otherwise.
-Students may elect to change deck mid test.

Retesting Rules
When a dorm is overcrowded compared to other dorms a special tournament will be held. If you come in third, second or first place you will move up one rank. In addition, both first and second place get one retest pass to be used any time you want. You can take the test again with the tester of your choice. (you will not be demoted if you fail the retest) You may not test into Sacred Goddess by this method unless otherwise stated.

You may also buy Retest Passes and Quick Rush Retest passes with your Grade Points (GP) at the Tutorial Center.

Pulsating Sword Dorm: Be careful when using a Quick Rush Retest pass as it can place you in a lower dorm.

Infected Duelist Dorm: It makes more sense for you to use a Quick Rush Retest pass.

Any Problems with your Tester exhibiting unacceptable behavior please let me know. All Testers must be kind and make you feel comfortable. If this happens (and i hope it never does) please save and send me screenshots.
